HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY ROBERT!!!

Today is Robert's(our nephew) birthday and we were lucky enough to celebrate with him!!! We had a really great time laughing, joking, telling stories, and goofing around. Thanks Robert for being so great! We all love you very much and are greatful that you are in our life!! We hope you had a GREAT day!!! :)

Making Noodles!!!

Ok so today I got this bright ideas that it was a soup day, so I decided to make homemade chicken noodle soup. It all was perfectly fine until the kids got home from school and I started making the noodles. :) By the way I also made cinamon rolls, ya don't ask me why...I was feeling very domestic I guess...so in between tractor driving and peonie work I was making bread and stuff. It is amazing how much I get done when I stay busy constantly. So I started making the noodles and the kid joined in the fun by helping....it all started out well...until Craig decided to through the dough like pizza...so Amber had to try and one thing lead to another and there was dough everywhere and on everyone. We were laughing so hard...Craig got dough in his nose and Amber tried to get dough in everyones nose!!! Good Times for sure. Needless to say...we didn't have homemade noodles...but the soup was still great!!

Riding Bikes

Saturday we were cleaning the yard and Amber and Corey took a break to ride some bikes. It was pretty funny. Corey insisted that Amber wear her helmet.

Corey Loves Robert

Robert stopped by the other day to get some movies. Corey and I were the only ones home. Corey immediately got Robert to play with him as he always does. Robert is such a great sport!! Corey idolizes Robert!!! Thanks Robert for being so great to Corey and always doing whatever he wants you to. :) We love you bunches!!

Water fun!!!

Craig, Corey and Kristina went to Grandmas the other day and washed her car. It was near 80 degrees so perfect choice of activity. I am not sure if the car actually got washed but they had a good time anyway and I think ended up running through the sprinklers and going down the water slide. GREAT TIMES!!!!

If you look hard you can see Craig by the tree...I think he was the one in charge...figures!!!!

I am pretty sure that Corey got Kristina more wet than the car...he loves Kristina and Kristina is so good and patient with him but I am not sure her affection is quite as strong as his is toward her. He calls her 'Nina' and would love to play all day with her. Saturday we were planting for a couple of hours in the morning. I think Corey lasted 20 min and then wandered to Grandmas house. Soon Robert came down and Corey was rescued by him. Robert is Coreys all time favorite!! Anyway long story but Kristina and Katherine ended up playing with Corey most of that afternoon while we were planting. We had just come in the house when we got a call saying that Kristina had had enough of Corey. We went down to rescue her and we found them in the ditch in front of her house playing. They were having a ball...but Corey was in the nude...danged if I did not bring my camera. Kristina was embarrassed because occasionally cars would go by and see Corey. That is not proper you know!! We thought that was cute and thanks to Kristina for being so patient with Corey!!!!

Gophers, Gophers, Gophers!!!!

As you can see he has a little helper...dressed for every occasion!!! :)

Craig has decided to earn money this year by catching gophers. He is doing a really great job and has caught 10 or so already. He sets the trap, cuts the tail off when he gets one and everything that goes with it. He already has a plan for the money he earns...money burns a hole in his pocket pretty fast. I HATE gophers as probably everyone does so I am happy he is taking care of them and so is Grandma :)

FLOWER POWER

The flower fields are coming right along. It will not be long before we are in the full swing of things if this weather keeps up. Hard to believe another year is almost upon us. Here is a view of the fields today at the start of the season. pretty dang good...amazingly within a month we will be picking the peonies. The Allium harvest is around Memorial Day.

This is the Peony field..we will be debudding(which means to take off all the little side shoots and leave the strongest bud) within two weeks and then picking within a month..amazingly you can almost sit and watch these grow. These are incredible flowers :) (Heathers favorite by the way :)

This is the Allium field. It looks real good other than our numbers are low. We are working on that though - we are coming along. These will be harvested Memorial Day weekend along with the Eremurus(foxtail lily)
Stay posted.....more to come over the next couple of months :)

Chasing Water

Corey and I have the wonderful job of chasing water this first week of water coming into the ditches. Corey is thrilled to say the least and knows exactly what he is doing. As we are riding along he says, "This is fun Mom!!" Not my feelings exactly but I do need to have an attitude adjustment!!! He is helping me out and I am thankful for that. I am lucky that I can be outside and seeing how beautiful it is!! We have to follow the ditch all the way around our land to check for weeds and leaves clogging and making floods. It really hasn't been too bad for my part. Yesterday was the first day and Clint did that, which tends to be the worst so I really am not complaining.:) I love my life!!!!!!

As you can see he really knows what he is doing...he is my big helper...what a great job he does....of course we have to stop and through rocks in the big canal..what fun!!!

Sorry about the plumber pants---we are totally farm kids here :)

Easter Weekend

We had a good time Easter weekend. We had our annual party at Romriells where we decorated eggs, hunted for eggs and prizes, sling shot eggs, and various other things. Even Amber and the older teenagers had an egg hunt. It was hilarious to watch them. The adults hid the eggs WELL and it was fun to watch them hunt. It was a real great time. We are thankful for family and how much fun we have with them. We are also thankful to the Savior for all that he has done for us.

Pine Wood Derby

This is Craigs second Pine Wood Derby and proved to be a great one. He did a great job and cam in first place this year...last year he was second place. I am not sure who was more excited Clint or Craig....actually yes it was Clint!!! Craig did help a lot this year with the car, doing the sanding and some of the painting and doing all the decals. He loved his car this year as it was a John Deere car...he said that is why it won...NOTHING RUNS LIKE A DEERE!!!! :)

Craig also received his Bear award. We are very proud of him.. He received his Wolf at last years Pine Wood Derby. He cannot be a Webloe until July so we will just work on arrows till then...he sould not be more excited..the more patches for me to sew on the happier. I am glad that he scouting and I hope he keeps it up. We are proud of you Craig!!!!! Thanks Dad to for all your sweat and tears...we know it couldn't be done without you. :)

Conference Weekend

Ok...this has taken me way too long but here goes....Conference weekend Clint had to pick up something for John Deere is the Pocatello area so we all decided to follow him down and have some fun in the Holiday Inn pool. It is huge, has a waterfall and overall a great time. We have the best time ever and the traveling was pretty fun too....a little snow right before Pocatello that was a little crazy but it as an adventure for sure!!!! :)

So we had to check out by noon...bummer...but...my sisters Mary and Carol were down in Utah, Kaysville to be exact, visiting Robert. We decided we would just keep going and drive down to be with that party. Clint had to be in Nampa by that night so he wasn't able to go with us....dang. We got to Robert around 4:00 and the fun began. Robert has an amazing home and this was the first time we had seen it. It was exciting. He had plenty of Diet Pepsi and chips for all of us....that all you need right :). All the boys headed off the the Priesthood session and we went to the store to get food for dinner and breakfast the next day...that was an adventure in itself...when you get Carol, Mary and Sherri together you just better watch out...it was a blast!!!!! Amber and Libby kept all the kids at home..man oh man..are we lucky to have them :)We had a great weekend at Roberts watching conference and just goofing around!! We left around 1:00 Sunday and listened to conference on the way home. Amber drove from Snowville to home. Craig and I sat in the very back seat...it was pretty fun actually and Craiged loved it...he doesn't get to sit with me that often. We pretty much drove straight through and stopped to eat when we got to Boise. We were home by 7:00...it was such a fun weekend. I am so glad we did it. We get a little crazy and very spontaneous at times but hey...life is GREAT!!!

AND THE TRIP HOME!!!!!!

April Fools

Heather is dieing to go to Jonas Brothers concert and is willing to find any way to get there....she is CRAZY!! Well, we got tickets for her, which she was unaware of. Amber and I thought it would be fun to not tell her until that night-June 26, which is one day after her 14th birthday-but that was way too hard. We also decided that knowing you are going is half the fun!! :) So we decided to tell her on April Fools. Jamie Kraupp was in on this as well. She wrote an amazing peom in hopes that the school would read it over the load speaker. Well, they wouldn't...so her band teacher at the beginning of class read it to her. He made her stand in front of the class while he read it. I did video it, although it is a bit disappointing because she didn't scream, jump, nothing!!!! she was a little embarassed to say the least but I could tell she was way excited! It was really fun and now she can stop trying to fin every way possible to go....Amber, Heather and I are going!!!! Can't wait!!!!!!!

Here is the poem that Jamie wrote(thank you for your creative mind and all your great ideas to help with this:)

On the day of the April Fool
Jokes and pranks are usually the rule

But for you on this silly day,
From the norm we have strayed.

Not a joke, but a dream come true
Tickets to the JONAS BROTHERS just for you!

Watch out Kevin, Nick, and Joe
Heather will even be sitting down low!

The concert is but a couple months away
So Heather get ready for your big day--

Remember this is NOT a joke or prank
And you have your mom and dad to thank!

Happy April Fool's Day!!!!!
